Description

Westridge mostly follows an old Jeep road along the ridgeline near Lorys western boundary. This trail is the only trail in the park that provides views of the snow-capped Continental Divide, with perfect views of 14,259 Longs Peak, and portions of the Indian Peaks to the South.

If riding north to south, you begin from Timber Trail and follow the road as it meanders through the forest. After a mile, you break into a clearing and then there's a gut-busting climb to the high point where you get the spectacular views. From there, the trail hooks up with the Howard Trail on the south end via fun and fast singletrack.

The views to the west atop Westridge Trail make it all worth it (of course, so does the awesome descent!!).

Great for the scenery and the exploring. Once you're at the high point, the ride down to Howard Trail is actually pretty fun, too. 1.9mi
