Description

Tackling this trail takes you straight up 200 feet to the top of the mesa where you'll get amazing views of the Book Cliffs. This short, steep connector is perched right on the edge of the hill. There are many steep switchbacks with lots of exposure. Be aware that the trail can wash out in a hard rain, so keep an eye on the weather before you head up this route.

The trail surface is sandy and rocky, which adds to the challenge of bringing your bike around the various switchbacks.

Be careful riding downhill on Ben's as there is a decent amount of exposure and some really tight turns.

The end of the Dead Dog Loop leads to a steep drop-off onto a wooden ramp. Be careful here.
