Description

Usually ridden as a descent from the end of the Summit Trail - Mt. Diablo, this trail loops around Mount Diablo. You'll start at the Devils Elbow Trailhead on Summit Road, and you'll continue past the Devils Pulpit rock formation, towards North Peak.

The route starts off fairly mellow and level as a warm-up, but there are technical sections as you descend on the north side towards Prospectors Gap. Approaching Prospectors Gap, the trail splits, with most riders continuing straight while the actual trail branches to the left. Have no fear, both branches terminate on Prospectors Gap Road.
