“A fun trail with lots of ups and downs while zig-zagging through large hardwoods.
”
The Baker Trail is built primarily on the side of a large hill. Riders will face several switchbacks and a few punchy climbs but in general this is a rewarding trail to ride. The trees in the area are all hardwoods, which makes for shady summer riding, but also means that heavy leaf cover can make route finding difficult during the winter months. This trail can be ridden in either direction and is accessed via one of the main park roads. Visible wildlife in this area will generally include ground squirrels and birds.
Including this trail as the second stop after a good warm-up on the Nester Trail ensures your day will be filled with varying terrain and will keep the blood pumping if you plan to continue on to the Boat Ramp trail.
