Fort Ord National Monument is closed from half an hour after sunset to half an hour before sunrise. A portion of this trail crosses County Land.

Description

A fun trail that connects the east end of East Machine Gun Flats Road where it meets Barloy Canyon Road with Crescent Bluff Road. Once you reach Crescent Bluff Road go right (east) and follow it around to Trail 22 (some hike-a-bike in this direction up Trail 22) or further to Trail 82 or even further to Mud Hen Lake.

This trail starts out by old army bunkers and follows the fence around and then starts descending the bluff. It looks like an old army jeep trail to start and then turns to singletrack further down. There are rutted sections and the manzanita gets tight. It is a fun ride in both directions.

Note: The top of this trail from Barloy Canyon Road to just past the bunkers is County Land and not BLM land. Trail status may change unexpectedly.
