Description

Trail 101 is part of the Humbug OHV area in Klamath National Forest. The trail continues from the end of Road 46N24 and ends with its absorption by 55100 (Trail 100). The trail starts with several steep switchbacks (there's some hike-a-bike), then levels out, then has a screaming downhill section with a few optional jumps.

The trail surface is sandy compact soil. The trail can become highly eroded with deep ruts. The vegetation is predominately manzanita shrubs, and the trail is exposed to high levels of sunlight. There are amazing vistas of the surrounding mountains and hillsides.

The OHV area has a network of trails designed for ATV and dirt bike use but open to the adventurous mountain biker. Be aware of other trail users, as they may not be looking for bikes - keep your ears open.

Have fun!
