Known as "4 Corners," the start of 8-Ball is actually the de facto start/end of seven trails; Bart, Moab, Flynnagain, Beach, Dos Equis, 8-Ball, and an unnamed connector with Backyard.

Riding east, 8-Ball begins with a demanding descent into the valley from the ridge above. A steep slope, loose gravel, hard-rock protrusions, narrow tread and steep exposure all make this perhaps the most interesting part of the trail. Once you have cleared the hill, you are on the central valley floor on doubletrack with no distinct trail to follow.

The trails through this central valley are sometimes less defined and convoluted; watch for cairns to locate the trail.

Riders use this trail to get out to Champagne, and ride north, or hook up with Liberty Bell and head south.
