Description

Bartram is a fast trail that runs east-west from the West Dam Recreational Area to Washington Road. The first section to Petersburg is a beginner trail with the easiest section falling between Petersburg and Lake Springs. Look for the Lake Springs Loop which provides an additional 2.5 mile horseshoe off the main Bartram trail. The section between Petersburg and Washington Road is slightly more technical and closer to an intermediate level. This section has more climbing, a few creek crossings, and some large, high-banked berms. Look for nice views of the lake.

Bartram WestTrail has about 30 fallen trees and several washout areas. Good layout, but trail hasn't been worked on in years. 14.9mi — 2h 02m

Charred and smelly from a controlled burn near miles 14-18 on the BT. Keg Creek has soooo many trees down and tree debris, it sucked after mile 2. 38.1mi — 4h 50m
