Description

This fun descending singletrack trail is less intimidating than nearby classics such as the Romero singletrack. It can easily be linked up with several other good trails at the intersection with Cold Spring Trail. Immediately after crossing the creek, turn left to begin climbing Cold Spring Trail to the Edison Catway, or turn right and ride downhill to E. Mountain Dr.

Although the trail is less technical than other nearby trails, there are some steep dropoffs and metal pipes that you ride over once you are riding parallel to the creek. Riders who have never ridden this trail should use extra caution on the lower half.

To reach the trailhead, ride Gibraltar Road up to the hairpin turn with the "No Shooting" signs. The trail sign is roughly 100 yards down the trail. Follow the singletrack straight off the end of the hairpin turn, not the fire break that goes up and to the right.

So fun, SB front country's smoothest downhill.

It's passable, but not safe. There is a large slide that must have happened from the rains last week. This is not an old sign.
