Family Friendly Easy trail and short loops.

Deer Creek Hills is a Sacramento Valley Conservancy property that, in conjunction with FATRAC, is open June-October every Monday night for mountain biking. Guided rides are also available on the last Saturday of each month in the summer.

Special events may also occur.

Description

This trail starts off as fire roads but follow the cones to super skinny singletrack, with minor undulating climbs, punctuated by small sections of sharp rock and creek crossings. You'll traverse through open grazing lands and regularly pass stands of protected oak trees that provide shade breaks.

This trail is best ridden at sunset! It's easy to keep speed out here as the climbs are very short. Make sure to follow the cones, as you'll cross 10-20 intersections on this loop!

Dry, mostly smooth. Dusty if you're trailing another rider. Some bumpy sections from cow footprints in wet conditions. Trails suitable for beginners. 8mi — 0h 45m

If you like Western landscapes this place is fantastic, riding is decent but a lot of chunder on the trails from the cow hooves. 4.5mi — 30h 00m
