Overview

This is a great ride within Santa Barbara with two good singletrack climbs, and lots of flowing downhill singletrack.

Need to Know

This loop is best accessed from the parking lot of Cliff Drive.

Description

To access this ride, park at the lot off Cliff Drive. Take the singletrack trail off the driveway but be ready for a short, steep descent around the first blind corner. Keep your speed and hit a nice jump along Frontage Rd, and then prepare for a long singletrack climb. Cut off the singletrack at the main road to get extra downhill.

Take a u-turn at the lookout benches and go for a great flow ride down until the washboard before a hard right. Push to the road to start the second climb. Have fun taking the flat switchbacks across the mesa, and then hit the south side downhill and run it out at top speed to the finish line.

Please use a bike bell. These trails are also used by hikers and trail runners. There are bells available at the park in bike bell boxes.
