Description
This is a nice out-and-back that is accessed via the Ice Caves Trailhead and heads toward the Magpie Campground via the Maah Daah Hey - IMBA Epic.
Follow this nice singletrack the whole way with a few creek crossings that are pretty muddy. There are around four cattle gates to stop and open along the way (nice for short breaks). This trail is not very technical, but a perfect ride for a beginner or a nice ride to get in some training for the Maah Daah Hey 100.
This is an easy path to follow as most trails in the grasslands are well marked like the Maah Daah Hey. You shouldn't come across too many people in this part of the MDH, the Ice Caves are not that accessible and there is almost zero info about the trail or the caves.
Be sure to watch out for rattlesnakes which are prevalent and the short-horned lizards, which are harmless. I usually get off and move them from the trail so they don't get run over. There are a lot of antelope and deer in the area as well as cattle.
