Description

Parking is located in the gravel lot at the park. The trail is used for high school cross country races and the surrounding fields are used for soccer. Start at the trailhead, which is indicated by a Lafayette parks and recreation sign. From this, follow the trail back into the woods. The trail is indicated by the orange flash on the trees and the ground. Make sure to follow the marks to stay on the correct route.

The trail uses a fire road for about .5 miles at one point and and will return to the singletrack with a right turn indicated by orange flash on a tree. Follow the singletrack, and it will spit you out across the parking lot where you can continue to loop the trail.

Make sure to stay on the trail. The Heritage Trail is close and bikes are not allowed on it.
