This is a good section for youngsters to develop bike handling skills on many types of trail, including short climbs, drops, root covered sections and small bridges.
Description
This trail is singletrack with a taste of everything. It connects you from the west to east sections of the trail system with typical Copper Harbor terrain. The trail is "old school," well established and hard-packed, with multiple limited height rises and dips that include lots of roots, exposed rocks, short wood plank bridges and a few short and steep uphills. It is a good workout that will improve bike handling skills without any real danger.
Use this connector to head toward Garden Brook - Sec 3 across the road at US-41 and the entry to the Keweenaw Mountain Lodge at intersection #11. Next, on the east side of this trail, connect to Downtown (Double Black Diamond/Expert only) and
Dza Beet - Sec 1 at intersection #12. Access this trail off of trailhead #2 at the Keweenaw Mountain Lodge near the tennis courts.
This trail can be ridden in either direction with no favored start or endpoint.
