An awesome trail through Rangataua Forest, near Ohakune. Middle Track winds through beautiful native forest on the foot hills of Mt Ruapehu. When conditions are wet, there will be muddy patches, so be prepared to get dirty.

The trail slopes gently from north to south, so is easily rideable in either direction. Using either Forestry Rd at the south end or Rangataua Forest Rd at the north end, you can link up to West Track or East Track and the other trails in Rangataua Forest. Easiest access is from Karioi Station Rd off Hwy 49. Access is also available from Rangataua township, although there is a river crossing from this direction.
