Overview

An excellent way to see some unique views of Ohakune and some beautiful New Zealand farms. You also get a magnificent view of Mt Ruapehu along most of Ratamaire Road! The ride uses sealed roads and unsealed farm roads.

Description

Ratamaire Road is an unsealed farm road to the south of Ohakune, and has beautiful views over Ohakune and the surrounding farms. There are farm gates along this road. Please respect the country code and leave gates as you find them.

Ratamaire Rd takes you to Hwy 49. Head across the road and into the sleepy township of Rangataua. From there, you take Dreadnought Rd back to Ohakune, enjoying quiet rural roads and farms.
