Family Friendly An excellent way for families to get a close up look at some beautiful New Zealand farms, while also enjoying the majestic views and scenery.

Description

Ratamaire Road starts at Lakes Rd and travels through beautiful farmland to Rangataua. The road is an unsealed working farm road that is quite well maintained, and doesn't present any real difficulties apart from some uphill sections.

There are farm gates along the road so please respect the country code and leave gates as you find them. Most of the road gives views of Mt Ruapehu, and is elevated enough to give unique views over Ohakune and local farms.
