This trail is an old ranch road that connects the Paraiso Trail and Walnut Creek trailheads to the south with the Ygnacio Valley Road trailhead and Ohlone Trail in Concord to the north.

Headed north, the trail is overgrown in a small valley at the midpoint and hikers/bikers must walk through 5'-6' weeds to continue. We turned around.
