Begin at either the Lake Lawtonka dam switchbacks on the west end of the trail or at the Schoolhouse Slough Trailhead on the east end of the loop. There is no shortage of small, medium, and extra large rocks on this loop.
There are a few technical drops and very challenging climbs, but mostly sections of grunt inducing rocks that will test your will to finish. This area is a locals' favorite. The loop gives you a bird's eye view of all of Lake Lawtonka and Mt. Scott.
