Description

This trail consists of a long connector trail that takes you from one southern tip of the Park (ending at the Marina), all the way across to the opposite (ending at the boat ramp).

From the end of the Marina (southeast), you can connect with the KY multi-use trails that include Lodge Trail, Cabin Trail, Hall Hill and Shipp Trail. These areas are heavily used by horses.

The trail has been cut into doubletrack from the end of the Marina all the way to the mountain bike trailhead across from Camp Kentathen. Here, it crosses the gravel parking lot and changes to NO HORSES and to singletrack.

This tight and technical singletrack includes berms, roots, rocks and a wood feature. The return on Race Loop heads back to the truck at a 180-degree turn, that, if missed, will dump you towards the boat ramp.

While the entire trail is not great, this singletrack section of trail is one of our favorites and adds to the diversity of the trails found in this system and along the featured ride, Race Loop .

So many leaves it was difficult to find the trail and to get traction. Leaves were almost 4" deep.

Marina off of scenic lake trail is very root heavy. When you get to the overlook, the brush is beginning to take over and a massive log is down. 4.1mi
