Westridge is closed off about a mile after splitting from Tijeras Canyon Trail

Description

This trail is not well marked near Tijeras Canyon Trail. It has much in common with Tijeras Canyon Trail though - dry and slippery in spots, with loose rocks and stones. There are a few fun parts that bob up and down the side of the ridge. There are some cool views of Saddleback, RSM and Coto.

However, the fun ends prematurely because the trail abruptly ends. A mile into it, the trail is blocked by a conservation area fence. So if you were planning to go further than that, you'll be out of luck accessing the rest of Westridge/Chiquita from this end. At that point, you can turn right and go down a connector to join the Tijeras Creek Trail or turn around and go back on Westridge.
