Description

The Wheeler Peak Trail is a continuation of the Bull of the Woods Road and provides an alternate route to the summit of the Frazer Mountain Road.

From the saddle between Bull of the Woods and Frazer Mountains, this trail heads south into open tundra, then into the forest for a short ways before opening up in the tundra again, then crosses a seasonal snowfield and continues climbing. Where the trail enters the Wheeler Peak Wilderness, there is a Forest Service Wilderness Boundary sign. From this point hike uphill to the right a short distance to Frazer's summit and the top of Northside's trails.
