Parking is available on River Road and there is a deposit box for the $3 day use permit. Bring water as this is a long trail and very exposed for most of it.

From the parking lot, head through the gate which leads to a fast flat section of road. After about 1/2 mile there should be a sign on the right side to indicate the turn to stay on Blinn Ranch Trail. This is a short singletrack section with a water hazard and bridge. After crossing the bridge stay to your left and follow the trail. There are several great outlooks along the ridges you climb. This climb terminates at a dam overlook of the Salinas Dam.
