Description

Virtually all dirt trail with some nice turns. Be aware that the trail ends with steep rocky section. The final climb to an overlook is rewarding with some pretty spectacular views of the Gore Range.

As this is marked as uphill directional, it's a great connector trail or a way to make a loop with World's Greatest or others on a minimally traveled trail. Start up and over School House Rock and then head over to Hockett Gulch. There is a well marked sign to get on this trail. It will be a steady climb most the way with a few leg burners. Elk Drop is another trail accessed from this trail, located towards the top and it meets a connector to get to Itch and Scratch. You may even take this to Abrams Ridge.

Ascended. Very steep. Made it with just one stop at Elk Drop junction.
