DuPont State Recreational Forest is a very popular multiuse, bi-directional trail system, so be on the lookout for hikers, horses, and other cyclists. It is normally open in any weather although it can close in extended periods of freeze / thaw during the winter.

Description

Cascade starts off of Sheep Mountain and continues onto what was previously known as Pine Tree.

Cascade is relatively flat for the first 0.3 miles then climbs for 0.6 miles before a 0.4-mile, fairly rowdy, downhill section. It is commonly used in conjunction with Longside as an extra loop to add more mileage to a traditional The Best of Dupont: Burnt Mtn. / Cedar Rock Big Rock Figure-Eight loop.
