Description

Mud Spring #173 starts from the Ridge Trail #157 and descends north towards Mill Canyon #40, passing Tibble Fork along the way.

The trail begins with a short climb that transitions through a wide meadow to a steep and rowdy downhill to the intersection with Tibble Fork. There are plenty of rocks and roots to keep you and your skills at attention.

Stay straight at the intersection to finish the bottom part of the route. The grade is easy going at first and the plunges past pockets of meadows to the intersection with Mill Canyon #40. A left turn continues downhill while a right turn climbs back up steeply to the Ridge Trail #157.
