Backcountry trails are not patrolled or maintained regularly.

This is a naturally cut, wide trail with many lines. There are lots of roots and rocks with some small natural rock/root jumps/drops. This trail tends to funnel water down the middle so stay away when raining.

The best way to get to the start is to take Airport Road (gravel) from the Silver Creek Lodging entrance gate that intersects with the main road. Then, after the right-hand switchback, take the first left onto Airport Runway. If you want a great view of Snowshoe Resort then keep climbing the grassy field until you can see above the trees.
