Description

A semi-loop trail connecting the Volvon Trail with the Volvon Loop Trail dropping steeply down a drainage then climbing back up an open ridge with views east over the Delta and Central Valley.

The steeper descent occurs just past the junction with the Manzanita Trail. First-timers may want to walk this section since it is somewhat blind with branches and other debris that are difficult to see in the shade. The climb out isn't bad until the very last stretch before the Volvon Loop Trail junction but it is shaded.
