Overview

This ride combines several different trails in continuous loops, giving a variety to the terrain to be found in the area; slickrock ledges, washes, and fields.

Description

At the entrance of the resort, continue west before making a left just beyond the car port of the resort. Passing the pond on your left, cross the road and jump on the gravel path; this is Wildflower Trail - South. It could be called, "Hop Along Trail" because you'll see a lot of rabbits.

Make a left turn at the Entrada Trail marker. After summiting the two ledges, make a left turn at Vista Grande Loop. Stay on this trail and, eventually, you'll encounter a cairn close to the trail, this marks Lumsden Loop, and on your next pass you'll turn right about twenty feet earlier to descend Waterfall Down.

You'll pick up the familiar trail, again, continuing on to Vista Grande Loop until making a left at Dynamite Trail.

While none of the trails are overly difficult, there are enough fun features to keep this route exciting for riders of all abilities. There isn't much in the way of shade however, which can zap the energy of even the strongest riders.

Beautiful views of the Gateway Canyons! Not a ton of intense climbing, but enough diverse terrain to keep it interesting. 8mi — 1h 25m

Trails were dry and typical singletrack conditions. Flatted on a cactus I suspect as it was a needle hole puncture of my tube. Warm 65 degrees. Nice 4.5mi
