If you want to ride the gondola and upper tram, you'll need to buy a ticket to the
Fassa Bike Park.
Description
After an obligatory photo session at the top of the tram, follow the road down the ridge and look for the easy-to-distinguish start of this trail (looks like a race start gate).
The trail opens with some small-but-fun tabletops before diving into a series of bermed corners. Try not to let the incredible views distract you from the task at hand - this trail can be ridden FAST. The rest of the above treeline portion of the trail follows suit with fun berms, rollers, and jumps that are broken up by super fast straightaways.
After crossing the second dirt road, you'll traverse an off-camber hillside at speed and get your first taste of roots and rocks. There's a fun creek crossing at this point with two built features as a means of crossing. The right-hand option is a little wooden ramp which launches you over the small creek (~3 feet wide) and the left-hand option is a bridge.
Bomb the next straight-away and get ready for a fun natural drop which launches you over a completely exposed tree root. There's a ride-around option here as well. Cross another dirt road and get ready for a much more natural trail experience. Chunky rocks and roots are the name of the game here. It's not crazy rough, so intermediate riders will have fun picking their way through while advanced riders will be grinning as they launch natural root doubles and float over off-camber tangles.
A final wooden a-frame (rollable) is all that stands between you and another lap or a cappuccino/beer.
