Since the trail is on both State and Federal land, bikers are required to have both a DNR offroad cycling permit (buy at the Forest Office or State Park gate house) and a Hoosier National Forest trail permit (Story Inn or Hesitation Point Bike Shop).

Avoid during Deer Gun Season.

Yield to horses.

Description

The northern end of this trail is doubletrack in Yellowwood State Forest. The southern end is in Hoosier National Forest and is primarily narrow singletrack. This trail is open to hikers and equestrians, so please be ready to share the trail. Yield to horses!

The singletrack gently descends or climbs over 300' of elevation and is gravel armored in many places. Blue Creek Road is at the bottom of the trail and this backcountry gravel road can be used to connect to Nebo Ridge Trail.
