Description

Powerline is part of the northern section of the Fort Rock system of trails. It is a relatively short connector that can be used to shorten up your run on Red Loop if you so desire.

The trail itself is out in the open the entire time, except for the last bit where it dips back down into the forest to meet up with Red Loop on the east end. It is straightforward to follow because, as its name suggests, it runs under power lines. Mostly a mellow ride, there are some chunky sections and rocky ups/down that can be more technical and challenging.
