Description

Winberry Divide starts on the west end of Tire Mountain and follows a ridgeline between the Middle Fork Willamette River and Winberry Creek.

The trail is lightly used and follows the approximate route of a very old trail that joined a trail from Winberry Creek where the West Boundary Ranger Station was located in earlier days. The route has been re-located in several places to avoid forest roads. When the trail hits a road, the next section isn't far ahead. Just in case, be sure to take a map or consult the MTB Project mobile app when signage isn't available.

Despite its smooth and loamy nature, the route itself is difficult due to endless climbing and descending with plenty of switchbacks.

Winberry Divide can be done as an out-and-back or combined with Alpine and Tire Mountain as a point-to-point ride.
