Assuming the trail is dry, Donald Duck is a wonderful introduction to singletrack mountain biking for beginner riders.
Description
While definitely not the real reason for its naming, Donald Duck's qualities as a hydrophilic waterfowl do exemplify the type of MTBer who would enjoy this trail. To speak plainly, if you ride this trail, bring your floaties, because you're going for a swim. It seems like every drop of water in the area collects along this trail, creating massive swamps that feel not too dissimilar to what Danny MacAskill must've felt while riding through the "puddle" in
Wee Day Out.
Needless to say, if you hop on this trail and the conditions are consistent with what's described above, turn around and save yourself the soaked feet and the damage to the trail. The topography underlying Banner Forest is such that the rest of the trails are generally drier than Donald Duck, regardless of how wet the weather is. So if Donald Duck is soaked, then the other trails are likely to be soaked, albeit less so, and if Donald Duck is only a little muddy with no standing water, the other trails are likely to be well drained and rideable without making a damaging impact.
Being responsible trail stewards is key to mountain biker's continued access to Banner Forest, and ripping up the trails on muddy days is a quick way to lose access and/or cause more work for local trail crews.
