Head out on this loop around El Valle with some scenic climbs and exciting descents. This ride uses mostly dirt roads with some sections of connecting asphalt roads.

Start off by getting out of El Valle towards Las Guias and take a right in El Macanito, before the Macano school. Keep to the main road until you reach asphalt on the side of Cariguana and take a right.

There's a 5km climb to the top, 2km of which are asphalt. The downhill on the other side on Cariguana is quite unpredictable, sometimes it is perfectly smooth (recently worked on), other times it is a complete disaster and can be very fun. When the road is recently worked on a cyclocross bike will be fine, but when it's washed out and tretcherous (as it is June 2018) you'll need a very capable MTB, and new riders should beware.
