Silver Mountain Bike Park is a lift served mountain bike park operating from late June to early October. A chairlift ticket can be purchased for $35. For more information and current hours visit: silvermt.com/Summer/Mountai…

Description

This a great first run at Silver Mountain for intermediate riders and provides some good flow section with berms and jumps. The trail is a little narrower than a standard bike park flow trail, but provides lots of fun options on the way down the mountain.

Beginning between Hammer and Gold Drop, Jackass starts with a long paver stone descent before it heads into the somewhat rocky flow. A few easy jumps and drops complete the first open section and then it's into the trees for some flow.

Jackass makes an exit from the trees at a road crossing with an optional jump. A loose and short straightaway returns riders back into the trees for some tight, but manageable turns. After it crosses another service road, the trail begins a series of straightaways to steep turns that can get dusty in the summer.

The bottom of the trail ends with a few tabletops before a gravely finish ends next to chairlift across from Lower Jackass.

3000+ ft descents from top. Trail ratings all seem about the same though - caution for beginners there is no easy way down to the lodge.
