This is a heavily trafficked trail by both bikers and hikers. Use a bell and common courtesy.

Description

The Backbone Trail is a popular way to get up to Overlook Fire Road. It's much easier than Hell Hill, but a bit more difficult than Guadalasca Trail due to slightly more incline and significantly more rock in the lower section. The descent is great fun, with flowy sections at the top, rocky sections at the bottom and a few jumps sprinkled in for taste.
