Description
There are only a couple of trails in the area and they're all marked pretty well. Just follow the "
New Trail is Open" signs.
Leaving from the Dallas Rd. TH look for a sharp right after ascending a little over 100' in a quarter mile. If you cross a fire road on the ridge, you've gone too far.
Continue along the pea-gravel path for a little over two miles until it rejoins the main ridge-line trail, the
Skyline Trail.
Here, you can turn left to follow the
Skyline Trail, or continue straight/right to take the
Sagebrush Trail back to the upper parking lot.
Watch for the right turn just before the "Hiker's Only" sign that redirects bikers to the upper TH.
Obviously, the trail can be ridden in either direction and combined with the
Skyline Trail for a 7.5-ish mile ride.
The only "difficult" thing about this trail is trying not to skid through turns or when braking on a trail surface that is almost entirely covered with pea-gravel.
It's also an extremely popular trail so expect to see a LOT of hikers, walkers, and runners.
