Description

This trail can be ridden in either direction, but to get the most out of it, it is recommended to ride Lynnmere Trail East to Thistle Trail then back along Lynnmere Trail West into the park.

The beginning of the trail is along a ridge overlooking the entirety of Wildwood Park, Thousand Oaks, and Newbury Park. Shortly thereafter, the trail heads down the mountain, presenting you with a steep, rocky descent the whole way.

After meandering around the Lynnmere community for a while, the trail heads back up and around the mountain, finally reconnecting with Lynnmere Trail East after two sets of stairs that will likely require that you dismount.

Wide open views near the start of the trail make a great start to a ride on the Lynnmere Trail West.

One of the tougher sustained climbs on this trail. It's loose but doable, and the reward is some really fun singletrack at the top.
