Need to Know
Most of the trails at Santos (including this one) are two-way trails, so be on the lookout for oncoming riders.
Description
This trail is best ridden from Dog Bone to Puppy Loop as there is more downhill riding in this direction.
About 150 feet or so from the entrance of Twister is the entrance to
Back Door, a connector which will take you directly into the
Vortex Pit. The trail can be accessed from a small spur off of
Dog Bone located just before
Kennz Kornerz OR off of the first corner in
Puppy Loop.
The trail starts off nice and flowy with a decent straightaway that progresses into a small downhill section. You'll then go up to reach the top of a small crest that is followed by another downhill. Throughout the trail, there will be a few 4- to 5-foot ridge crossings that will give you a little speed. If you’re going fast enough, these can be used as tabletop-like jumps.
The end of the trail will have a few tight turns leading to the exit on
Puppy Loop. After this, continue straight on
Puppy Loop and turn right on
Dog Bone to access the Santos Trails (across the street) or the Vortex Trailhead (down the access road to your right).
Overall, this is a really fun, fast trail with very little tech that will leave you grinning at the end.
