Description

The newly minted La Piedra Trail was built on an easement that was donated to the city for the purpose of building a trail that links the Dale Ball trails to the Santa Fe National Forest trails. There was a lot of blood, sweat and tears put into this project, and we are all thankful to all those who donated their time, money, and land!

Most people descend this harrowing, switchback laden trail, but a few daring souls try to climb it. It's not so technical as it is steep and filled with switchbacks. It's great to finally have a trail that connects these two trail networks, but it is very tough so be prepared.
