Description
Take the Parsennbahn funicular railway from Davos to the top of the 2693 m (8835 ft) Weissfluhjoch to start this trail which is a prelude to many of the best rides in the area.
When you exit the funicular building on the summit, you'll have a great view of Davos. This is the most difficult part of the ride as you'll have to decide whether the view is breath-taking, jaw-dropping, heart-stopping, or merely spectacular.
Once you've finished with philosophy/anatomy for the day, follow the gravel road exiting the funicular building around and back towards the north. When you reach a small maintenance building, you'll turn back towards the south and follow a singletrack that descends steeply through the scree.
From this singletrack, you'll enjoy the view of a beautiful valley including a preview of the next singletrack on the
Durannapass loop if you are headed that way. This scree singletrack joins a path cut into the side of the Schiahorn mountain. The path is fairly wide, but you wouldn't want to fall off the side!
Soon after finishing the path that is cut into the side of the mountain, you'll reach the Strelapass where there is a major trail junction as well as a restaurant.
