Description

This short detour climbs out of the arroyo and takes you to a great vantage point of Santa Fe to the west and of Atalaya Mountain to the east. It is steep and technical, especially toward the end. From there, it looks like there are other trails that keep going, but they seem to all peter out eventually and end up scrambling over boulders, preventing bike access.

Check out the route on Hiking Project if you want to come back without the bike.
