This trail/road connects the Frady Branch Parking lot to the Frady Branch trail system. Frady Branch is a multi-use trail system. There are separate parking areas for horse trailer and automobiles. There are pit toilets and a bike wash available in the parking area.

The connector is actually a gated Forest Service Road, FS389. From the parking lot, proceed around the gate past the parking entrances. The road will descend to a large concrete culvert over a creek. In September 2009, this small creek turned into a raging torrent after 12 inches of rain in a 24-hour period. The 11-foot diameter, galvanized culvert was blown out and taken a quarter of the way downstream.

Once you cross the creek, you'll climb for a short distance then the road will level out. In a few hundred yards, you'll come to an intersection. The road straight ahead and to your left are part of the Leatherwood Creek Trail. This is the terminus of the Parking Lot Spur.
