Overview
Thanks to the partnership with Three Rivers Park District, Lake Rebecca is the newest, bike-optimized, purpose-built singletrack to join the MORC family of trails.
Description
Ride the first half of the
Green Trail from the singletrack parking area, then turn left at the obvious signs for "Main Trail."
The trail is one-way heading clockwise and connects to the expert trail about halfway through. Also, you can cut off about four miles of the loop by turning right at later signage. You'll also cross the paved bike trail a couple of times.
This is a typical Twin Cities suburban trail with lots of turns and few trail junctions. You're mostly in the woods pedaling and focusing on the singletrack. There are a couple nice benches along the way if you're looking for a place to stop, with small vistas looking across marshes and ponds in the Lake Rebecca boundaries.
While the trail may have a couple more hills than many of the trails in the Twin Cities area, the terrain is not difficult as there are no notable obstacles.
