State Park, $4 to enter, I think $6 for the car if more than one person? Rentals available (bikes, kayaks, canoes, paddle boards). "Beer Can Island" is not that far for the adventurous, and by water only.

Overview
A great trail system for South Florida standards that is worth checking out.
Description
Another great park/trail system. I wish they had more people to help volunteer to maintain the trails. They seem to be in a bit of disrepair? Even though it's a State Park, I don't believe the Park rangers even touch the trails? There are a few climbs and drops that could be considered 'expert' but the trails are clearly marked and for all those "maybe I shouldn't?" moments, the bypasses are always an option.
This route is very nicely shaded by all the trees, especially in our South Florida heat! It's very family oriented, jammed packed on the weekends...If you're a beginner, highly recommend you go during the week.
For the MTB lovers out there: remember
Gilligan; it's a hell of a trail, 2.2 miles give or take and it will put a hurting on you! You're about eight or nine miles into the trails before you get to
Gilligan, so take a breather before it, if you're not up to it! I have completed that one trail in 24 minutes but at very high-intensity speed, vs when I bring newbies in there > 1 hour and a 1/2; it's rough!
