Description
The Bart Trail connects the
Horseshoe Trail: Camp Mack to
Explorer Lodge Trail in a narrow, rutted, awful drainage ditch kind of way...calling it a trail only is accurate for the first 50 yards of the trail. Beyond that, expect narrow washouts, ruts, progressively larger rock drops, and, towards the end, a drop off of a boulder that could easily be 3-4 feet to a nasty landing below.
Some of these boulder steps can be avoided by going wide, but the last one...well, it'll be a challenge for anyone other than those with DH bikes and a fresh set of undies. Climbing up it would be extremely difficult on a dirtbike...but you are welcome to try.
It's a nasty ol' thing that will eat both man and bike for lunch; it is posted as a warning for those who are drawn in by its alluring first 50 yards!
