Overview

This route is a fun and challenging five-mile featured ride made up of two main loops. The Race Loop (1.6 miles) has excellent flow to get you started and the Challenge Loop (3.4 miles) is simply fun with a few short technical climbs.

Need to Know

The last 1/10 of a mile of the ride crosses private property. Riders have permission, but make sure to stay on the trail.

Description

This five-mile featured ride is well marked and is exciting for seasoned riders and throws in some challenges for newer and intermediate riders. The trails consists of a few fast sections, but it is mostly up and down switchbacks with no long climbs.

The full Featured Ride consists of a 1.6 mile Race Loop that connects with a 3.4 mile Challenge Loop. To start, follow the Entry Connector past a small teeter totter and at the north end of the parking area till it reaches a large trail sign after a few bends in the trail. Head right on the Race Loop. At its end, the Race Loop flows into the Challenge Loop.

Portions of the Challenge Loop are labeled Ghost Loop and Fox Loop. You can skip the intermediate portion of Fox Loop and take Fox Loop Return which is 0.3 miles to slightly shorten the ride or make it easier.

History & Background

The trails were built about 20 years ago by local mountain bike shop owners and are still maintained by local riders today.
