This ride passes near the hiking only Lone Star Trail, which incurs a $400 fine if you bring a bike on it. Make sure to stay on track.

Description

This Inner Loop starts and ends at the North Loop and the trail character is similar to or even slightly easier than what you've just ridden on the North Loop. It offers a nice singletrack addition to the North Loop for some gratuitous mileage. There is one low area where you may find some water if there has been a significant rain recently. The loblolly pine and hardwood canopy provide good cover from the sun, but the resulting pinestraw can be slippery in the few turns at speed.
