These trails can be extremely popular with hikers and can be very crowded. Please give other trail users the right-of-way.

Description

Access this service road/trail from the Wildcat Base parking lot. The road is moderate to steep, passing through beautiful meadows in a hanging valley, and it connects to the top of Germania Pass via East Greeley.

The first mile and a half climbs steeply up the ski slope, with grades between 10-20%, climbing from 8500 feet to 9500 feet. The wide service road is adequately maintained to ride these grades. The next mile after this levels off relatively, before increasing again in grade to reach the top of Germania Pass.

Beautiful views of the top of Little Cottonwood Canyon and the surrounding peaks and valleys can be seen from this climb.
